gsxr 1000 k1/k2 oilpressure switch ? help with the clock dis

i have two gsxr 1000 engined bikes one is a special and the other is a modded slightly gsxr 1000 ,




the red light comes on and doesnt go off , i am not familiar with the clocks and could do with a little help if possible,

multifunction for temp light and what have you . just dont want to grenade an engine , if i can get a little help i would be really gratefull

Hiya mate , if you put it in dealer mode it will show you a code that is the problem with the bike. If you type in " steves gsxr pages" onto your browser it will come up with his home page . look at top left and it will tell you how to get into dealer mode and what the codes are. point of interest , on my k2 the jump wire to get into dealer mode is a little different. drop us a line if you have problems and I'll take a photo of it for you.

paperclip will work, or just a bit of scrap wire with the ends twisted.

Hiya mate , mine is under the rear seat hump looks like pic above, make sure your ignition is off, take the rubber cap of and use a bit of thin wire to jump from black/white to white/red. turn ignition on and make sure kill switch is in the run position, it should then cycle through the fault codes for you.

Hiya mate, Ive removed the SET/"EXCV" that sets off code 46 and deactivated the flashing warning light ,after putting on a carbon remus race can. I followed the instructions on"bugmans GSXR" website, look in index on the left hand side for link. Worked for me.
