Hi there, couldn't log on so had to start again...?? Anyway, just finished my most recent build. 1997 Suzuki TL1000s ............... I took on a basket case to transform and turn into something I could ride in anger, yet still park up in public and be proud of what I had built. This is is how I got it. And here is a brief build log.. Take this... And then this happens.. Bye bye.. Hello.. Lug gone Mount gone Lock stops gone Wheels ready to go All was sent away for powder coating... Then a full engine strip and build. TLR headers, lose flange. Engine in Getting there Finally Done... Personally I think it looks mental.. No pointless eye candy, every component is minimal and does its job. Lots of hours gone into this build, trying to get things to look right yet still work. Just needs some final snagging for the MOT..(being a tester helps.) Thanks for taking the time to view, see you out there lads... Revo.

I used to have a tls and absolutely loved the way it accelerated. Mine turned into a very expensive honeymoon, but I'd have another if my knees and back weren't so useless. Yours does indeed look mental - like it a lot.

What fork is this? Does is fit the TL yokes and does the TL wheel fit straight into the fork?
Looks good.

Cracking looking bike. It got my vote in the photo competition. The GSXR seat unit really looks good on there.

What fork is this? Does is fit the TL yokes and does the TL wheel fit straight into the fork? Looks good. Forks and calipers are GSXR750 K5, they fit into the standard top yoke but are 1mm too slim on the bottom yoke so you need to shim the difference (0.5mm shim the depth of the clamp). Then you can use the TL wheel but need to put 1mm shim behind the rotors to space out the discs to line up with the calipers, then because the disc is a bigger diameter you have to put 10mm spacers in-between the caliper and mount to bring it off. The standard TL spindle works but you need the GSXR stub else the wheel wont sit central. Thats it, oh and for uber stoppies put on the early RSV Mille master cylinder, I have the full on Brembo racing master cylinder....even better. Then enjoy some corners and see how much better it all is. Here is a link to the kit. GSXR Radial forks into TL1000s shim kit.Revo.
