A few weeks ago, with the clutch all sorted, I took the bike out to York raceway and entered it in another round of Straightliners. First go out and the chain snapped in half. Proper scarey, but luckily the chain didn't damage the bike or myself. I called to see a mate and he had a brand new Tsubaki Sigma chain, so I got that off him and ordered some renthal sprockets. I went for a 14 tooth on the front instead of 15, to give me a bit more go on the strip. My mate lent me his whale chain tool, its the best I have ever used for fitting a chain. All sorted and ready to go. The new chain and sprockets really show up how awful the swingarm on this bike is, it looks like this bike has had a hard life before I got it.

Next job to sort was this mess, someone in the past had put a flush fit undertray which looked ok, apart from they have cut out the original undertray at the back and done an awful homemade fibreglass surround for the tail light which is hard to photograph, but it looks terrible.

A fellow OSF member Chris came to the rescue with an original uncut standard undertray, so I stripped the body work off and removed the half cut original undertray and the flush fit one. Nice easy job to fit the standard one. Part of me wants to trim it to neaten it up, but I also think there can't be many uncut ones left so I don't really want to start chopping it. I am running a LED clear tail light, but I think I will put the standard light back in when I get a minute, it looks better. Sorry about the poor pics, they were done on my phone, I will use my digi cam in future.

The air box lid on a bandit is restrictive . Lots of lids were modified by pulling out the rubber tube and drilling another hole the same size on the opposite side . Be intresting how you get on with the stock bandit clutch , i had no end of problems with mine slipping .
