www.suzukibulletin.co.uk/2013/11/28/suzuki-launch-vintage-parts/Suzuki GB Aftersales Marketing Coordinator, Tim Davies, said, ”We’re delighted to announce details of our new Vintage Parts Programme, which helps us further meet the growing demand and interest our customers have for more classic machines from Suzuki’s history. “I think across motorcycling at large we’re seeing a lot more interest from people who are looking for an older machine that perhaps they rode or wanted when they were younger, or riders who are looking for a bit of a project. “Our Vintage Parts Programme makes the whole experience of owning a classic Suzuki even better, with specialist knowledge on hand, a complete list of available parts and accompanying images, and the service manuals too. “We’ll be launching the campaign with the sought after RGV250K, and adding a new model every quarter, but we also want customers to share their own images with us of their classic Suzukis, some before and after shots maybe, and to also let us know if there are any models they’d really like to see added to the programme.” The now legendary GT750 will follow the RGV250, with over 1,250 parts still available for the classic two-stroke machine. Other bikes to follow include the F and H models of the GSX-R750, the GS1000S, AP50, GSX1100S Katana, the GT250 E and X models (X7) and the G and CH versions of the RG500. For more information, visit www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/vintage-partsSuzuki parts that are getting very rare these days may soon be available. Hopefully Suzuki keep their prices 'affordable' but going by the prices some sellers on ebay are looking for, they couldn't be asking for too much more smiley-shocked003

That looks promising , gs1000 tanks would be a good thing to re produce . But anything would be better than having to buy from american and playing russian roulette with the its gift hope I dont get hit with import tax smiley-shocked003 Even after you get broke in half paying taxes and duties that tank might be worse than the one it's meant to be replacing. It's about 30 years since Suzuki made a GS tank, who knows after all this time, with advances in metallurgy and coatings, theres no reason why Suzuki can't bring out a product that is far superior than the original. After all, technology and manufacturing processes have come a long way in the last 30 years. It would be great to have the option to buy GS and GSX tanks off the shelf. Or even stuff like Katana fairings, big round headlights etc. Stuff that is getting rare. It may over time lower the price of original parts. Look at some of the prices ebay sellers are looking for RGV250 parts at the moment. They are charging STUPID money because they know they have you over a barrel. Be nice to see the wind knocked out of the greedy fuckers with the influx of new replacement parts hitting the market. I've noticed the prices of Oldskool Suzuki parts in the last 5 years going through the roof. Sellers looking for more money for an Oldskool gixer than a mint, up the years Hayabusa just because the fairings are immaculate. This in turn pushes prices further up.

Sounds good to me, any support from Suzuki for the older bikes can only be a good thing, let's hope they get a good response from it and it encourages them to keep it up.

one word-efe engines - complete- cheap OEM clutches- over 25 years later these majestic motors are still being raced on tracks-roads and strips- THEY ARE STILL COMPETETIVE !!! surely Suzuki realise the watercooled superwhizzers are for the general public and lots and lots of people and racers and thrashers want to power their new projects with real muscle-bike power- euro6 or whatever BULLSHIT would not apply -as this engine is merely a replacement part for a vintage machine- MOPAR-ARE MY FAVOURITE CAR MAKER-from their factory catalogue you can build a 5500BHP [keith black] hemi-they also offer crate motors- why suzuki have not reaslised how many thousands of loyal power hungry speedfreaks NEED this is beyond me- fekkitt im on the phone !! hello-pete barbour ? you used to work for heron....

Don't think that Suzuki will ever sell a complete aircooled motor. It's all down the those namby-pamby tree hugging emsisson control world police kill-joys. That's why they stopped making the oil-cooled lumps in the end. Didn't meet their fucking unreal standards. I'd be happy with just being able to buy the parts off the shelf to keep what I have on the road.

I hope they grab the idea with both hands, and do you know what I think they well might do. The modern stuff is being throttled to the point of pricing them out of the masses budget due to ever increasing demands and legislation to make them leaner and greener off the production line, the development costs are becoming too great for an ever decreasing market.
Manufacturers will only consider what will make them money won't they, if they still have the tooling for many of the parts they would be more likely to go ahead with the idea. Naturally, they'll have 30 people doing a study on the supply and demand effects against potential profit blah blah blah!
There is without doubt a strong market for these parts but I fear legislation hoops and politics will play a huge part in their availibility and eventual cost.
