I thought to write few words of my never ending suzuki projects... I'm not so good writer but I try my best and i post pics at least. So here we go. ES 750 -83:Bought this about an year ago in original conditioin. Purpose was modernise it a little bit. So about that it looks like at the moment. I think I keep this just a summerday cruiser. No more big things to be finished but something still. Engine may need parting because of oil leak in cylinder 1 and other little things. Other plan is put oilcooled engine in this and that air cooled in my "caferacerr"-project. "KATANA" -82:This I swapped with my old slingshot fighter. This is imported from sweden (to here, finland). Turboed at sweden by mcXpress in early eighties? In fact, made from normal gsx. It has a few terrible frame weldings and other "patents". So it needs total parting. It had gixxer wheels and front end, bandit swing arm etc. modifications. I'm planning to change those to: busa front end, tlr swing arm, K1-> wheels etc. This is what it looked when bought: I threw on some plastics from boxes that came with and then it looked like this. Parts I have purchased for project: I post more pics and story(and bikes) tomorrow. Keep in touch!

What swing arm is that fitted in your ES? I am just starting one and want a better rear. Did you modify the frame much to fit it?

What swing arm is that fitted in your ES? I am just starting one and want a better rear. Did you modify the frame much to fit it? I think it is ~K2 1000 swingarm. Extensions from FTD-customs usa. It needed narrowing about 5mm on both sides and new inner sleeves of course. No better pics of frame modify than this CLICK. So I welded 10mm thick plate between frame tubes and there are threads to 750W upper mounting with spacer plate. Original footpegs had to remove too to make swing fit. Shock linkage is from k2 R and dogbones too. It bolts in to original center stand mountings. I'm planning to do it better in future and at the same time do the "yoshi"-welds all over the frame. I have slabby carbs with pod filters for this so airbox will be removed too. look,s like you will have plenty to do keep it up ? how does it handle in the snow ? Not so well. Luckily I have DR for that. Nice project! May be more to see (turbo, intercooler). Also interesting catch tank (?)! There isn't much to tell about at the moment. Because I don,t know either. In fact, I haven't even try to start it yet. Turbo may be t3 garrett. And the cooler..well I think I'm not going to use it at all. About oil returning... there is catch tank bolted straight underneath the turbo. Mechanical oil pump pumps the oil from there back to the engine.

Mainly this topic is focusing on that katana and ES but here are rest of the "others" -89 750 slingshot
I have no engine for this yet but frame number ends "xxxx711" so maybe that predicts something.. I'm going to keep this mostly original. And last but not least. -88 750 slingshot "caferacerr"This is a bare frame. I'm going to use spare parts from katana to build this. This is kick-bike also at the moment, so no engine. I may use ES engine if I find oil-cooled engine for place of it. [/u]
