Hello chaps, I've nearly got the WN to 100%, there's just a couple of things holding me back. - First of all, I am trying to attach the wires for the temperature +ve and -ve from the stock harness to the Acewell clocks I bought, but it's reading nothing.
- Also, the Oil Pressure light isn't coming on.
All the other functions of the Acewell seem to be working okay. Anyone else have experience wiring up aftermarket clocks successfully? Cheers, G

What does Acewell manual say about sensors? How's the compatibility? Stock temperature sensor has only one wire coming from it and this needs to go to the clocks. Stock temperature gauge has 3 wires, one of wich is the one that goes to the sensor and to the ground from there. Others are + and GND. As for the oil light, this is again grounded by the sensor. That means the bulb has to have + on it all the time and sensor connects the GND side of the bulb if there's no pressure. I once wired a cheap chinese knock-off of Koso RX1-N on a XJ600S with the crappy chinese instruction and had success. I also had a go at making a loom for GTR1000 Concours which had been on fire, so I know something about wiring and perhaps could be able to help...

Here is the Acewell wiring diagram: And here is the diagram for the stock clocks wiring: So, according to the diagrams: Temperature - TEMP + = Red from Acewell to Black w. Green tracer (B/G) on the stock harness and TEMP - = White on the Acewell to Black w. Brown tracer (B/Br) on the stock harness . Does that sound right? Oil light - connect the Blue from the Acewell -> Green w.Yellow tracer (G/Y) on the stock harness, right? I've already done that, but it's not working. Also, what is the O/G wire? 'Oil Temp' +? I currently have the Neutral + from the Acewell going to it and it works well, but 'Oil Temp' + what is that? Cheers, G

O/G wire should be constant + when key is turned on and it goes to tachometer + on stock gauges. Can you measure your oil pressure sensor with a multimeter or test it with a lightbulb to make sure it's functional? Maybe connect temp sensor straight to the Acewell wires (+ on the pin and - on the body) and try if it makes any difference? It seems like you have connected the sensors right, the fault may be somewhere else. Where is neutral + on the acewell, can only see - on the diagram? Can't see anything oil temp related on the bike, such thing doesn't exist.

My confusion about the O/G wire was that in the above diagram it reads - "O/G: NEUTRAL, OIL TEMP, TACHO +ve"
I have tested the Oil Pressure LED on the Acewell and it works - I grounded the wire where it joins with bullet connectors near the battery, so the connections at the gauge are working, perhaps the problem is with the switch itself (the lower section of wiring doesn't seem to be bare at all, although it is a bit stiff in places). But I'll ground out the switch and see what difference that makes.
As far as the temp. is concerned, there doesn't seem to be a temp. menu in the setting mode of the gauge, so I guess it's not even registering.
