Hi all, going to fix my weeping head gasket , just wondering if the torque settings are accurate in the haynes manual, dont want to be overtightening things... i have never really bothered with torque wrenches but i suspect it might be necessary in this case!! I reckon its one of the 6 orings thats given up the ghost... so will be replacing them, the head gasket and the oil return tubes+orings as they look to be fairly rotten and corroded, i will be using a haynes manual for guidance, mainly concerned about the camshaft removal/installation. And whats this moly based grease they say to coat the camshaft lobes with?? Any guidance, tips would be much appreciated, cheers, rob. (bandit 1200)

As far as I'm aware the Haynes manual is correct. Just don't drop anything down the cam chain tunnel, Its a good idea to stuff some rags in there for peace of mind. A spot of tipex on the cam chain and cam sprockets is handy to aid in the timing when reassembling. Its fairly straight forward, just take ya time.
