I've got a Harris Magnum with a draw thru turbo on it. Took it up to Crail dragstrip in Scotland a couple of weeks ago and as i'm going over the line at 130+ my oldskool Mr Turbo style wastegate made a bid for freedom, bounced for miles into a field never to be seen again. I'd like to have found it to find out what failed but dont think i ever will. It looked like this

Anyway, i couldnt find another second hand one so was resigned to rehashing my nice headers to accomodate one of these big chunky ones that are about now but then i found this. Tial 38mil wastegate. Only 95mm high without the v flange and 75mm dia

Its just sitting in place in that last pic. I still have to change the flange to the V flange supplied in the box with all the other shiny stuff

Its even got 2 ports for water cooling if its bolted to one of these new fangled machines with water in!!. And 3 air ports so you can use the most suitable for routing the pneumatics to it. I'm chuffed i dont have to completely rejig my zorst, just change the flange. I'm so chuffed in fact it wasnt even that painful handing over the £220 it cost me. Theres a lot of Tial fakes on the market so if you get one, make sure its real or make sure its cheap!! My last wastegate was a 32mm and the fact that it blew off gives me a clue it mighta been too small so finding a tiny 38mm is great stuff. Heres another pic to show you how tiny this thing is (Can you tell i still havent worked out how to add more than one pic at a time!!)

Yep, cheerz DnD, lots of info on the interweb on Tial fakes. Did all me homework and bought from reputable company. Busy making it fit the hole now. Am torn between hiding it away where the old one was to make best use of space or welding it on out in the breeze to show it off coz its a gorgeous wee piece of kit.
