Just noticed the split link in the chain is that just for the dry build or do you use them when the bikes are finished

Just noticed the split link in the chain is that just for the dry build or do you use them when the bikes are finished Its there for now, if i have a rivit link in my box of bits ill fit it when ive finished, if not the split link will stay, nothing wrong with a properly fitted split link, i used them on my race bikes as i was changing gearing all the time and had 2 chains and a big box of sprockets, never had one fail..

Cheers mate, it was touch and go for a week, but hes out of intensive care now,,, so time to crack on
Right just watched Moto gp , cracking race, now back to it..
gsx1100 power screen bottom end with b6 cable clutch cover, will the push rod be the right length,?? will it fek, its way too long, so I tried a few and found one that's just a bit too long... 3mm off on the grinder and its all good, need a lever to test it but its all together now.

Made a quick torque arm from some ally tube and rod ends, all going well until I attatched it, Then I spotted my deliberate mistake.
Geusses anyone?
