As it seems ive started on this again thought i'd start a thread.
Bought it about 2 years ago. Indoors pic was from when i got it, stuck it in the front room and mostly sorted the running issues. Put new tyres on it and treated it to a nos genuine screen. I stripped the fairings, repaired all the cracks, filled, sanded, primed. Rode it for a while but never ran right so got put under a sheet in the garden untill now.
Outdoors pics is how it sits now. Brakes are dragging but got it running right so ill sort callipers, get it legal and ride it for the summer. Bottom fairings are still in airing cupboard LOL.
Plans have alwasy been to upgrade it a bit but keep it looking pretty stock. Will be repainted in black/red and get new decals but black red heron colours keep tempting me too. Keep getting tempted to change tail and junk fairings but ive always loved stock tooking slingshots. I guess it could go either way.
Once ive finished the garage ill strip it down to frame and build it properly. Probably with newer front/rear end but would like to keep it period ish. Ive sorted a nice exhaust for it so the motad on it will go on ebay. Does it look like its ment for 750? Or 1100?
Badly need to get rid of the 'carbon' levers and get some smaller, stock looking indicators.
Top fairing has cracked again, looks like it will need some reinforcement. Might junk the mirrors.
Motor wise, stock for now, ive only got about 1 years riding experience but 1100 could be on the cards in future.
Whats the clear tube/red think on brake master?
As you can see from the pics, its not 'too' bad but needs plenty of work. I want it to look like its been looked after rather than factory frech.
