With the GSX1100 and the GSX750 and Katana, all mounts are the same. But the middle lower mount is different. The one under the engine. 'L' shape on the 750.

think the 750EF engine bears more relation with the oil-cooled engines anyhows so doubt the frame/mounts are the same.............. So, you're saying these mounts for the GSX won't fit my GSX750EF? Does anyone know whats needed to fit a GSX750R engine into the 750ES\EF?I'm going to bump this thread and quote myself because I still would really link an answer to this and someone on here has to know it I've learned that the ES/EF engine has a lot in common with the oil cooler so that it might just slot in, but can anyone confirm this? I've got all the parts needed for this swap, but very little downtime allowed on the EF so I need it all figured out beforehand..

The Kat, GSX 1100 and 750 have the same mounts (the 750 lower middle mount is different on the frame) The GSX1100EFE are also the same as Kat and GSX1100-750 engines. The only deferent is the frame mount on the Kat750 and GSX750. Not sure about the GSX750ES. But would think it would be the same deal as the earlier bikes.

Ok. As I said not sure. I'm wanting to put a s/stroke oil cooled 750 into a pop up Kat. Have engine and Kat but haven't had time to look at what's needed to do the job. So I'm interested as well.

I've contacted Ady so when I hear back from him I'll post it here. In the meantime I've found his built thread on another forum: Build threadAnd this thread on GSresource: GSXR into GS750E Here you can see that it physically fits and it seems that at least the rear mount can be reused, if this is true then the chain alignment and fabrication of the other mounting points will be a lot easier. I may even be able to reuse the front mounts, but I'm not sure.

I'm also planning to put an oilcooled 750 engine in my popup kat. I know the rear lower engine mount fits perfect, and the rear top mount fits but is a few mm off as far I can see And you have to cut the engine mount that is welded in the middle.. I have an old (half) ES frame and tried it out Will start fitting the engine and making enginemounts next year,, I'm still using the popup at the moment untill I finish my other popup kat. And when I have it done I will put some info on here for everyone else that wants to do the same. But if anyone allready has drawings of the enginemounts needed to put an oil cooled engine in a GSX750ES,, or a Popup katana,, please let me know

That's some very helpfull and clear information Peter, thanks (dankje;)) Did you try to fit the front mount? In the pictures it looks like it's very close..
I think that really sums it up, both rear mounts work (with or without a spacer), front and bottom mount need fabbing. Then it's a matter of fitting GSXR carb/exhaust/CDI and you're good to go. I have seen mention of the fuel tap hitting the carbs, but I think that was on a 1100/1200 oil cooler.
Funny bit of information; the GSX750ES/EF redline is at 9k rpm and the tacho stops at 12k, the GSXR redlines at 13k...

gsxr1100 lump into a gsx 750 et frame.put the engine in using the et front engine mounts.then made the other mounts up out of cardboard then fabbed out of 4mm steel.all worked well for me.

My prefered method is to stick the oilboiler motor in central on the bottom rear mount of the aircooled frame & make the rest of the mounts to suit!
The reason for this is there is always a bit of variation when dealing with a 30 year old frame & ive had pro made mounts that are no where near (even stock mounts with a stock motor can be out a fair way) especially if someone has been at the frame with a grinder/ark welder & more enthusiasm than skill !
