Yet again, help. I need to replace the chain and sprockets in my '83 Katana 1100. Thought I'd go for 530, as the chains are easier to come by and there's more choice in sprocket ratios. Found a fitting rear sprocket (GSX-R 1100 '93-'94), but the goddamn front sprocket... Anyone know what will fit?

Are you using standard running gear? What is the ratio you want to use? Standard?
When you change from 630 to 530 your sprockets need more teeth to still have the same diameters. Front 17 T is a good choice. Rear 48 (-ish).
Suzuki and Kawasaki front sprockets will fit the gearbox ex-shaft.

I want to legthen the ratio by quite a bit. I found some Suzuki sprockets that will fit the shaft but not the lock spacer thinghy, but thanks, I'll check Kawa out.

You could also try a 520 conversion, the fronts are slight offset. I use jt sprockets for part numbers, etc then give Rich a bell www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue#search-resultsgsxr1000k1,2,3,etc,etc 520 gsxr1100k/l/m/n gsx1100
