Hi, has anyone here replaced the stock complete front end on a 1990 slingshot 1100 and fitted a gsxr 1000cc one instead? I also want to know what I need to do to so I can use the matching rear wheel and braking system off the 1000, do I just upgrade the shock to a better one or do I replace the swing arm? Id appreciate any info or pictures on which model 1000 is the easiest and best to use. Thanks....

I've got k3 600 front end on my slabby with a slingy wheel. I did a stem swap & a top hat spacer to sleeve the top yoke - think there are bearing kits somewhere though.
As the wheels a slingy there's a few spacers I had made up to make the job a gooden - just remember that the later front ends have electronic speedo as opposed to cable so speedo drive is a consideration - unless you're using the wheel to match the forks.
I'll dig out some pics later. Best upgrade I've done by far if only for the radial brakes.
Newer gsxr's have shorter front ends but it just turns in a bit quicker & never been a prob or you get a stepped yoke made.....
Same principle on slingy as it is on slabby

how much different is a fork swap from a sling/slab to a watercooled? Slingy oil cooled is straight swop for water cooled, 750 for 750 and 1100 for 1100... only difference is some of the lock stops are in different place,

Does that include the triples and stem? If so that helps me out tremendously as far as figuring a front end conversion goes. I have an 01 R1 front right now, but am looking for something a little bit newer

bearings and an extended steering stem. the r1 stem is about 3/4" shorter than it needs to be.
