I fell off my bike, fair enough.
10 weeks later:
No resolution No negotiation No recovery 50% depreciation - £100 excess on helmet (despite diligent but fruitless efforts to find original RRP) Ignored e-mails Ignored questions Ignored written instructions 30+ e-mails A suggestion that I should consult the DANISH ombudsman! Antagonism
Do yourself a favour use ANYONE ELSE
None of this is exaggeration or fabrication

She will be fine so long as she doesn't make a claim...
Fingers crossed that your better half stays shiny side up.

or try to swap bikes, they wanted me to pay an extra £80 to swap from a 2000 vtr1000 (already paid £160 2 months previous) to a 1980 honda cd200 + an administration fee. they told me to either accept it or get a refund of £18. They were very rude on the phone, so i took the refund never to use them again.
even Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask whilst robbing people.

you only find out how good your insurance is when you try to claim ? smiley-sick030 absolutely bang on. theres more to good insurance than the cheapest renewal price. ive been with carol nash in the past, had a claim and it was dealt with in days, sorted paid and over with. i stayed with them for years till they were taken over by another firm and their customes service went pants. now im with peter james, (the james half of footman james, set up on his own again) great service on the phone, you always get to speak to a real person, and everyone ive dealt with has had some knowlege of bikes. perhaps ive been lucky and as yet ive not had to claim from them. but they werent the cheapest i dealt with at renewal time, but i liked the sound of them, so they got my business.
