Evening,
I am thinking about a new cooler for my project and am wondering how small you can go without risk of causing damage to my engine.

What project? Engine size? Turbo or not? Use (drag racing or whatever)? Size of penis?

Nothing as fantastic as turbo or drag.
Just a 750 slingshot with a mind to upgrade to a 1200 bandit engine in the future.
And...
I don't fold it in half for anyone!

19 row top or bottom feed will be okay

I would prefer topfeed because then cooler stays filled when engine is off -> easier to check oil level as OEM manual says. If you buy Mocal or Setrab, get the mounting brackets at the same time. ...or make it tricky and put separate cooler for cylinderhead as described in GSX-R 750RR hop up-manual

I would prefer topfeed because then cooler stays filled when engine is off Bottom feed also stays filled. Unless you unscrew the oil lines (then air can get in the cooler so oil can get out)

I have spare top feed 19 row cooler, bracket and braided lines to fit a bandit 600 sump. Easy to change swaged fittings to what you need with adapters.
