Errmm.. Never worked on a GS550 myself but I'm pretty sure they didn't leave the factory with wiring like that.. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Apart from the crimp on connectors (on the right) and the exposed odd coloured wires being an indicator of "previous work", the top block connector seems to be forced together 90 deg rotated from how it was originally designed to fit..! So.. No, not stock I'd say.. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

yep, definitely not stock.
Solid yellow is +12V low beam (or high beam, can't remember), solid black is +12V left turn signal.

fula28 ,
bought the bike for the frame and v5 for my 750 build , but bike looks better than expected , so going to try getting it running no spark at the moment . bike has newish seat and braided hoses and a shallow braced swingarm most of the electrics work just need to see why no spark bike turns over well from my jump starter pack .

it would appear i have no regulator on this bike ...........with no regulator fitted ! will this cause the bike not to spark ? sorry if this is a daft question but never had this type of problem before ![smileyanyone](//storage.proboards.com/3679739/images/p1d_2kGtVhpmbMlYgkXE.gif)

No reg won't stop it sparking but it'll kill the battery in double quick time.......and that will!
