hi all, managed to sign up to julians temp site, verynice too matey, so heres a little something from me..
A frame up build, frame was sourced from ebay, the engine came from lee mitchel's wc gsxr,
most stuff I had lying about from previous builds ie engine mounts and stuff.. but mostly made to fit by myself..
frame: gsxr 1100 g
engine gsxr 1100 wc
jmc extended arm
slingshot wheels
gsxr 750 wn sp forks
cbr 125 seat unit..
this is how it looked when it was advertised on ebay as a rolling chassis...
and this is how it looked just after I bought it, (after a little airbrushing gone wrong cos I was bored.com)
this is slabbie in its first guise post first mot with a familiar face...
then after I got knocked off by some clueless 19 yr old bint...
then I put most back togather within a couple of months with stuff I had lying about for the 2nd brent cross show,
then went a totally differant direction last year as I was trying to launch some new bodywork I was trying out so I bought a headlight mould of luisa and flooded the internet for a while with the preditor headlights..also made a tank and new seat unit to boot!
although it looked 'ok' I still wanted to build something a bit more sporty and missed having a fairing so had a good digaround in the shed and found a couple of cracked and broken top fairings and made a good 1 outta 3! with the aid of a soldering iron and sand paper I managed to flatten 1 back after applying layer upon layer of abs from 1 of the broken units and also found a matching set of lowers to boot! a suitable fairing subframe was reformed to suit a set of wc clocks and a new fairing tab re-welded to the headstock to bolt to added..
also added some mild modification of my own to the tank courtsey of wayne - cheers mate, the top came from a srad 750 tank.
