Well Without any Info on the Gsxr Slabside Cartridge Transplant We Might as Well Get Started. Strip the Gsxr 1100 G Forks Strip the CBR 600 F3 Forks Used a Some Bent Forks I Had to Get the Internals for this Test.

Well It Looks like it is Possible but there are a Few Things that Need to be Addressed. The Fork Lengths are the Same and Fork Lowers are the Same. The Damper Bolts are Different Sizes, to use the GSXR lower there would need a Shoulder bolt or spacer placed in the Fork. The Oil Lock are Different Diameters the Cbr Is too Big, The Fork Bottom Would Need to be Milled out, Oil Lock turned down or New one would need to be Made. As i Don't have The Ability to do Any of These Mods This One Goes On the Back Burner. The Rest of How I Got on with This Can Be Found Here: old-skool-suzuki.proboards.com/post/31490

Good effort mate and interesting too ! I wonder how you could alter the compression damping, as the Slabbie didn't have the adjusters in the fork legs. Easier to buy a used set of forks and install those, but not as satisfying. The cartridge emulators give decent results - if you wanted to keep the original forks - you have to remove the spring to alter the compression damping with those, still a lot better than damper rod forks.

I was going to get the Compression / Rebound Valves Re-Shimmed, and a Uprated Spring. Have Got These if i Wanted to Swap Out the Front End. Will have to Give it More Thought.

Ah got you, get the comp/rebound valves in the right area to start off with - could use oil viscosity to alter damping if need be. What's the front end from ? - CBR600F or VFR - neither didn't had brembos though ! - nice.

They Are CBR 600 f3 Forks with CBR F2 wheel as it has speedo drive and NT650v calipers, also have 296mm VFR Discs to go on.
