Shock fitted simple enough . Cleaned and greased the linkage as it was off. Gotta relocate the relays now. Broken the bloody terminal on the starter relay. It was badly corroded - wot a stupid place to place electrical stuff - right in the way of all that water and crud. As usual I forgot to take photos . I'll take a few pics when I get a chance to finish it off.

Never thought of measuring it before I changed either Box arrived - child in a sweet shop and ripped right into it I can see myself getting confused with the amount of adjustments on it. I'll take a few pics tomorrow and post them

Theres another adjuster at the bottom of the shock. To be honest I have no idea what each one does. I never measured anything before I started but it may have rose it a little but nothing much. I'll get the tape out tonight and you can compare

Looks like it has high and low speed compression damping, the two sets of numbers on the compression adjuster at the top of the shock shows that - I haven't played with a S1000RR, so don't know which one is which though. Lower adjusters are rebound on shocks, to slow down the spring's recovery after a bump. The Sachs shocks are pretty decent generally, they used them on the RSV Mille's and they performed pretty well on those - they were a lower spec model than the S1000 one too. Looks a good fit.
