Thanks. I have to be honest and admit I was lazy and got Danny at JM to fit the pistons. Apparently they were a real pain.

I really like the Rf900 polished forks but they're just way too short (700mm), and while I actually like h look of trick offset yokes, they'd look wrong on this bike I think.i have a decent set of bandit forks and a set of gsrx1100 USDs
I have also managed to get a pair of gold Astralites - well worn, but no damage. Front 17, rear 18.... But I like the white wheels on this bike.
So question is, what wheel/fork combo should I use? Easiest is to keep Gsxr wheels and use bandit forks. What'd ya think?

keep Gsxr wheels and use bandit forks i would do it that way or put extensions in the forks ( longer caps ) many guys on racetracks praktice it this way

I like anything unusual and that gimbel certainly is. Great work.

2 hours in the garage and acomplished next to nothing! The bandit forks will fit fine with the gsxr yokes though. I'm looking at uprating the springs and oil, and maybe polishing them while they're out of the bike.
Found where I'd hidden all the clamps etc and test-fitted the carbs with the bellmouths. I'm now slightly worried as that went really easily and everything fitted perfectly first time..... that never happens.

everything fitted perfectly first time aren`t the caliper mounts on the bandit forks are more on the inside as on the gsxr forks ?

see, I knew there would be something! I haven't messed about with the calipers yet, but I did have to space the calipers a bit with the RF900 forks, so hopefully it'll be ok. I have a bandit wheel, nissin 4 pots, discs, so it shouldn't be too hard ..... (wish I hadn't said that now!)
