Anyone with this combination and dual pods ? The previous owner said the bike was never jetted after the full exhaust. I could get the bike to run but only after cleaning the plugs every once in a while. The mixture settings were all set differently and the jets it had were 150,47.5,102. Clip,2nd groove from the bottom. I cleaned them up and set mixture at 2 turns . Well see how that works in the spring. But if anyone has been down this road and can give me there jets information that would be great.

With pods and a full exhaust you need a stage 3 Dynajet kit.

I test rode the donor bike before I pulled the engine so I guess it's close enough to start. I'd like to just get mikuni jets and avoid dynojet. I had a couple of carbs where the kit just didn't work well. Thanks guys

It may be expensive, but the Factory Pro kits work really well and use Mikuni parts - they develop/test the needles, which is the hardest part to get right trying to do it yourself (so many possibilities). The GSX1100F was pretty popular over there, so you can find a lot of related stuff. www.factorypro.com/Prod_Pages/prods13.html

An 1100 with 34mm's will draw harder than the 36's normally fitted so although its breathing better (less restricted) it shouldn't need a big main. 125's were std for 36's so would expect 130's to be about right. Agree on the needles though - no stock needles will match sufficiently well so a carb kit is likely!

Still trying to find the original jet info for it. 34mm only came in 88 .That's why factory pro offers from 89 and up. Someone on katrider aid it came be made to work.

From you pic i'm guessing you are Stateside? Haynes manual says for a GSX1100F (Katana) with 34mm's it should have had, as stock, MJ 112.5/110 (outers / inners), main air jet 0.6mm, needle 5DL11, mid clip, needle jet P-2, Pilot jet 32.5, pilot air jet 135 pilot screw setting 2 & 7/16ths out ! ! ! (why didn't they use 1/2 is anyones guess!) Starter jet 42.5 and float ht. 14.6 +/- 1mm.
So there's the baseline to richen it from!

Got 34 s on gsx 11s , 140 mains and one up on pilot , clips 4 down from top , what you got is good enough for a base line starting point , mine were 1100 f , interestingly dyno jet list the same kit for gsxr and the f

Not a bad engine the 1127F !
