Thought I best say hi here before I bombard you all with daft questions! Been sitting on my Katana 1000 project for a decade (or more!!) but this year, it happens. Really.
Nothing radical, oh except the delicious frame modded for Steve Adams of Lucky7 fame!
Main plan is; that frame, GSX1000S lump (with 1100 block at the mo), GSXR11H forks brakes, wheels (like Spa Katana)
Budget?
Errr.... do I need one?

Prefer using a complete bike when pillaging bits, because then I know exactly how it's supposed to fit and I'm not scratching about for spacers, or the odd bolt or fitting. Slabbie has been stood for a decade, and it would be the next project having donated it's forks etc. it would then be endowed with USDs and fat wheels.
Hmmm... I might consider swapping for a Bandit 12 plus cash... Mmmm... I'll have a think about that.
(I sooo want clipons on the Kat though... has to look factory(ish) once done. No renthals for me!)

Yeah... As I'm a real new boy here, I can't seem pop this in the proper places. Where's the best place in the forum to do this? I have this Slabbie: It's registered in my name, and I accept it would be evil to strip it. Anyone care to give me a complete(ish) straight (in both senses) Bandit 12 or RF900 in exchange, plus cash to me! Ideally RF900, because I want clip ons. Conversely I'd prefer the Bandit carbs...

And the sacrificial 750... The frame on this, and a fair bit of the running gear, will eventually be available, as I have already obtained a perfect replica of the Lucky 7 750 frame from Steve Adams. I beleive he had the frame built in order to make another bike with less valuable components that he could use daily without thinking about all the expnsive bits getting damaged! As alluded to above, my plan is to shove my other 1000SZ lump in the modified frame. It'll be Yoshi style black. I'm not looking to spend a fortune, just use readily available stuff, spend the money on pollish and paint! Quick confession... both these bikes shown wearing the same body work! I have one original set, and one set in black.
