Hi All, I'm Kane, currently don't have a bike, had a Bandit 6/12 previously though.
I'm in the process of building a 1216 turbo, don't have much to show as of yet as I can't decide what bike to build it around. Thinking either bandit, oil cooled GSXR 750 or if possible put the 1200 in a water cooled 750 frame?
Been scanning this forum for the best part of two years from when I first got my bandit just never joined.
Looking forward to joining the community.

Welcome in. Any pics of the 1216 plant and turbo? Even if it just a pile of parts. We like pics.

Picked up someone's poor attempt at a streetfighter'd bandit 600 yesterday, it needs some work but a good starting point. Will get some pictures of the bike, engine and turbo tomorrow

I'll post a couple of pictures on here and once I get enough to show I'll start a build thread. Engine built up with H beam con rods and busa pistons. This is the first turbo I got, HUGE. Couldn't find a suitable place to route any of the pipes because of the size of it. Then I got this one which isn't much smaller but gives me space to route all the pipework. This is the bike, it's very rough around the edges, I'm going to be chopping the subframe off, haven't decided on a replacement yet, thinking around an 08 GSXR 750 tail. It has a decent set of USD's, think they're off a fireblade and also a fireblade swingarm which will be getting extended a bit.

I know that isn't the best view and will get some more pics if anyone thinks they can help, I need to know what forks they are as the stanchions have seen better days and it's just as cheap to get new pattern ones as it is to get them re-chromed. So, if anyone thinks they might be able to help me, I'll get more pictures of the forks and yokes if that'd help. Thanks

yep, more pics and some dimensions needed (dork diameter at the yokes for example)
And welcome by the way.

Thanks for the welcome, I will get some more pictures and dimensions later on when I've finished work. Should I open a new thread for this or leave it in my introduction thread? Thanks

Hi, attached are the best pictures I thought would be of any help. The dimensions are top to middle of the spindle 700mm, bottom yoke diameter is 56mm and top yoke is 54mm. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Making progress with this, on my phone at the minute and can't find anywhere to upload pics on phone. Got the engine in, an extended swingarm on and starting to dismantle the tail for hacksaw treatment possibly tomorrow, if anyone is interested I'll start a build thread and add pics Thanks Kane
