Most people seem to recommend the Whale one but it certainly ain't cheap. I was looking at the Sealey kit on e-bay. Doesn't look bad at £32.95 but could of course turn out to be shite. Sorry to have been no help whatsoever.

Does it not depend on the type of rivet whether you can use a Whale tool or do they come with pins suitable for all types?? I used a D.I.D chain, D.I.D do two types of chain tool (they both look the same but the more expensive one is forged therefore stronger) and then you can get a million and one copies of that design, I went for a Hi-Level copy which was about £30, I wish I'd bought a decent one to be honest, the poor quality of it meant that the two halves didn't fit together very well so when I put it under load it screwed up the link got a replacement in the end. Oh and another thing, get yourself a cheapo angle grinder and use that to remove the old pins, chain tools are generally a bit gash at pushing the old pins out.

The Whale is the daddy but does not do hollow pins so no DID then. with the correct parts assembled it easily removes pins and rivets the new pins but its not cheap but you will never need to buy another one unless you get a DID chain, replacement striking tools are available for it too, I did one for someone not long ago about £150 IIRC for the multi breaker and riveter all in one tool.
