Have you contacted the manufacturers or the place where you bought it? Straps are usually difficult to replace, so it might need to be sent back to the factory, but I can't see why it shouldn't be possible.

If you've twatted the helmet hard on the floor Danny, then I would consider it toast anyway. The foam lining is compressed underneath where you can't see making it considerably weaker in the event of a tumble.

I got HG in Stockwell to send my Arai back to be checked after I had an off and dinged it a bit (luckily I had some Venture Shield on it) - it came back with certificate of health.

i also have one, same problem, craft, but these aren't made anymore, plus the helmet is worn out but still....i like the thing.. it's a dust catcher at the moment when it broke, the inner plastic that you press, had a sidepiece (really small) torn off and didn't lock i fixed it (hey i had to go home) by opening the buckle (easy since missing the lid) rearranging the inner parts: spring, lock and press pad, and keep it fixxed with tape but putting a different strap will void the certification as i understood so it won't be legal anymore using it second, i was thinking of changing the buckle system to the ring system, since this has lesser chance of breaking ... go to your hardware store, buy two rings go to your tailor, ask him to make it fit, safe and wearable all at own risk!

Its not been dropped, banged or bashed, simply landed way too hard after looking vertical on a private road,,,,,, herd a tiiing, asummed was gravel or road debris and went home, where I found the quick release button missing, got a old lid with proper double d's ( ooer sir ) so if I cut the old lids strap to get the d's, wondered if any where will stich them on in place of the quick release,

Seriously? You would wear a lid that someone's sewn a buckle onto? Do you glue bits of asbestos roofing sheet onto metal strips to make brake pads too?

I'll contact shoei, and its not that im tight, skint or a pikey, its that fact its a lid I had made to fit and feels natural, but the place that made the lining has gone under, so can't get a new lid, like wise can't get then to repair it,
Thanks Danny
