What also might help to get the last of the last air bubbles out: - install some old brake pads in the calipers - with two screwdrivers in each caliper between the pads instead of the discs, pump the brakes as much as possible - the reservoir should be almost empty now - using the screwdrivers push the pads (and thus the pistons) in one caliper back as quickly as possible - put something between these pads to stop the pistons coming out again and - push the pads in the other caliper back as quickly as possible - the fluid with air bubles is now forced through the system into the reservoir

fluid came out a brand new bottle bought yesterday. no leaks. the brakes will stay consistent now as they are. so they wont get any better or worse. Then I'm all out of ideas. Sorry mate. We need some more knowledgeable Terrible Lizards to put us (yea, me as well) right!

Have you tried pushing the pistons back in with the bleed nipple open then pump them up again, another trick is to take the calipers of and hold them above the master cyclinder, put a piece of meat between the pads and try bleeding that way. Hope it helps. Cheers SRR

.....and another one, unbolt the calipers and leave them dangling overnight so there is as good as a straight run from top to bottom. Then pump the lever in small movements to see if you get bubbles, small movements work better than pulling them right on for some reason.

i have just installed Tokico 6-pots from a ZX9R on Fatty, because the brake pads in the Nissin 4-pots were almost finished and i'm too tight to buy new brake pads. The Tokicos' pads are still good. Anyway i had no trouble at all bleeding the brakes (one line from Slingy MC to splitter and then one line to each caliper). Filled the system with fluid, had a beer, pumped a bit, started bleeding at the calipers and after 20 minutes i have a good strong lever. The calipers had recently been cleaned though, maybe that helps.
