Hi in the process of building a slingy, trying to keep it on a budget so was gonna keep it 750 for now. Am I right in thinking the 750m is the best 750 oil cooled? I have a 750 teapot lump and carbs that I got for bandit 600. Would there be much difference sticking this in there? Cheers

The 89-96 short stroke teapot 750 lump is on a par with the gsxr lumps, not really any difference in power at all,and the cluch cable goes to the sprocket cover,so looks better. The one in Sonny's resi evil fighter was pushing 98bhp and my old 750 teapot pulled 150+ The later(97 onwards)was an underpowered long stroke engine,it didn't produce much more power than the 600.

Just standard lump, jetted carbs,airbox/filter with Hindle headers and cut down Beowulf can. They are about 90-100bhp(they were re-strited in Germany) as standard, they just weigh abit more than the gsxr

Why want to change? I very much prefer the revvier 750 to the 1100 engine. But some people are all about the HP.......

Think you missed the point, I've got a slingy frame and loads of bits laying around or that I've found cheap on net to build a bike. Decided I want a 750, not a 1100. I happen to have a teapot lump in my garage and was just checking before I put time and effort into a build that it was on par with other 750's. I don't want to swap if I don't have to and quite happy with a buzzy 750
