Hi all!
Last weekend i bought a Suzuki GSX750ES 1984 which looked to be in very good condition. Today i took my first real ride on it and really enjoyed it. But after a short while i noticed that i had oil on my left shoe.. So i stopped and noticed there was a minor oil leak from the left engine cover. I returned to my garage and looked more around the area where the oil seemed to come from and discoverd that the engine block might be damaged and very poorly repaired..
Since engines are quite cheap here in Sweden i thought i could see which engines fits into my bike and see if i could find one instead of trying to repair my current one.
So which engines fits the GSX750ES 1984? What kind of modifications are required? Does the exhaust/carbs fit from any 750/1100?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

oilcooled GSX-R (750/1100) and Bandit fit with some new engine mounts. Of course change the carbs/exhaust/wiring loom as well. And enjoy lots more powaaaah

I think i actually might have PM'ed you just minutes ago on another forum Would the stock frame be able to handle the extra power or do i need to reinforce it? Is the engine mounts the same as the one mentioned in the Katana thread in this section? What needs to be switched over from the wiring loom? Im actually looking into turning the bike to EFI so im not to bothered about the carbs

I've run 152rwhp through one of those frames, I lightly braced the frame at the headstock but it didn't really need it. Get a stronger swingarm though, the standard one is week and bendy, also a better rear shock will help. Engine mounts you'll have to work out but the engine should fit in the bottom rear mounts (check chain alignment), you can then work out the other mounts from there. Electrics, you'll need the CDI from the donor engine and some wiring, maybe a loom from donor engine then make a hybrid loom from the two.

Is the carbs from a 750 a straight fit onto a GSXR 1100 engine? I mean is the spacing between the carbs the same? Im not planing to use the 750 carbs but it would be handy if i knew if the spacing is the same.

Now ive finally found a GSX 1100R engine from a -89. But the seller has a flat oil cooler and also a bent one. Which one would be the best for a GSX 750ES with 1100 engine?
