I'm re-building my 1100ET motor, and rather than use the std. base gasket, (which I've heard can break up), I seem to remember an up-date, which was to use the base gasket from the 1150 EFE. Am I right? Cheers guys (and gals)!

Not sure about EFE gasket, but I use the copper base gasket from Debben, re-useable so only ever need buy one

cometic gaskets ive used them for years with no problems mate

Thanks for the replies, boys! I might go the Cometic route, may be cheaper than OE. Does the Cometic base gasket come on its own, or part of a set?
