unsure what to make my plenum from - ali or stainless? what do you guys use and why?
Probably go with ali as easier to machine and just as hard to weld as stainless, but id like to know what you guys use.

I always use ali, coz it´s lighter en better heat transport (if you have the choice). If not, stainless works fine, too

I tried with 2mm first and was ok. 2nd one with 3mm for better weld ablitiy - excellent weld result. Now my welding skill became better and I get very goot welding results with also with 2mm (less weight) on my SSB

2 to 3mm ally
Calculate the square inches of the plenum top then multiply that by your boost, and you'll be surprised at how much load is on the welds. Make it nice and thick, and only minimal cleaning of the welds.
WTF is all this crap about below that i can't get rid of?
