.........Only problem with that is the 88/92 GSXR inner basket requires using the 88/92 GSXR outer basket(clutch plates do not match the Bandit 1200's). The GSXR outer basket with its straight cut gear will not fit a Bandit 1200 crank.
Not sure, but it might would work with using a 88-90something Katana 1100 outer basket. Sorry, but that statement is bollocks . The 88/92 GSXR1127 outer basket fits perfectly with the B12 1157 crank. It's the basis for the tried & tested GSXR/Coil spring conversion that folk have been doing to bandit 12 engines for years. Its the 1127 GSXF/Katana that has a helical gear on the primary drive - and is , in fact -the only oil cooled motor to do so.
