Having invested so much in this project I was deliberating over the next part of the project and that was engine re assembly. As most of us know these aren't the most complicated of engines to put together but I've experienced enough misfortune with these motors to understand that there is a world of difference between bolting it to gether and getting it running OK and assembling it so that it is first and foremost reliable and oiltibht and also that it runs as well as these motors can run with ythe components that have already been installed. So. Cylinder Head - flowed, ported, HD valve springs, three angle valve seats, imm OS Kibblewhite SS intake and exhaust valves, new intake rubbers, skimmed head, "fast road cams", everything measured and checked. DONE Crankshaft - indexed, pinned balanced and welded. DONE Barrels - Crankcases bored to accept MTC oversize liners and forged pistons, teflon buttons, pistons weighed and balanced, liners bored and honed. DONE Cometic copper head and base gasket purchased New oil pump purchased. OEM Suzuki clutch friction plates purchased. Gearbox examined and checked. HD clutch backplate with HD clutch springs. DONE. APE manual camchain tensioner purchased. APE HD cylinder studs and nuts purchased. New cam chain purchased. New valve stem seals fitted. All threads checked and repaired if damaged. Dyna S ignition with Dyna Green coils aand Taylor leads purchased. Mikuni RS 36mm flatslides Ultrasonically cleaned, hydroblasted and new screws, O-rings etc fitted. GSX 750 oil pump gears fitted. So after much deliberation I decided to get the motor assembled professionally and to my mind there was only one guy that came to mind and had been recommended by several people. I chose the captain of the Australian International team at the Philip Island classic, the guy who has built many race winning and championship winning period five motors, the guy that has forgotten more about these motors than I'll ever know, the guy that smokes like a lum, mr. Rex Wolfenden. I'm happy now that my motor will be a stoater and won't cough it's guts up and the first sign of abuse. This is what I picked up from T Rex racing

Would you believe he spent 22,000 Australian dollars just painting the floor! It is the best workshop I have ever been in,he is a bit over the top with clean,he will not use coolant on his lathe,in case any ends up on the floor,he get through shit loads of cutting tips, when he wants to use a hand grinder,he goes outside.

Cheers Stuey I appreciate your comments especially having looked at the quality of your build. That'll be some mean snarly lightweight beast you'll have there.
Best price I found for these levers were from a crew called Hardracing in America. Google Hardracing and you'll find them
