Turbo compressor housing back from the welders and refitted . Just 1 more bit to cut up before being welded up.

This bandit just gets better and better, for me the best part of the whole bike, apart from all jealousy inducing tricky wheels/suspenders/engine bits, is the way it has always retained its Banditness ( is that a word ) even with the frame and turbo and everything its still instantly recognisable, ive had many people tell me my heron bandit would look better with and r6/gsxr/zxr rear end Bollox I bought mine new because of the way it looked, so it will always have the bandit tank seat and panels, and I hope your dose too, Colin

Wont ever change the bodywork ( would love an aluminium replica of the tank tho ) . When i first changed over to the GIA frame it used to wind me up that 99% of people just used to walk straight past the bike when it was parked up at local bike meet , until someone said they didnt spot it as a special as they thought it looked factory built . lol . Now its all about it looking like a stock bandit from a distance and only people having a good knowledge of bikes knowing what works been put into it . Thanks to everyone for the feedback

Pipe back from the welders . Got him just to tack the last part on as its a bit of a job to hold 5 sections together and was thinking its going to have to be cut again as its not going to line up . But it fits ok. Bit of an art to get it into the quick release fittings.

Ok pipe all finished . Bracket welded on , polished up and had a couple of different grade flap wheels inside the pipe to clean out any high spots .

Decided i didnt like the old sprocket cover (fish plate) so im in the process of cleaning up / modify an old gsxr cover . Had a small plate welded onto the bottom right hand corner . Now drilling few extra holes in and going to polish up .Is slightly lighter that the fish plate . Thanks to Karol for the cover . Going to have to do something with the slave cylinder as it was all corroded around the edge of the piston , was new beginning of the year and dont ride it in bad weather

Been reading through MCN sport and been looking at some detailed pictures of the Ducati GP bike . Like the way everything is there and looks uncluttered . This has led to new clip ons to be purchased to replace the Gillies on the bike at the mo . Looking to make some rear sets that are fixed in one position not with multi holes as quite a few aftermarket jobs . Emails going back and forth to Gavin at GIA engineering who built my frame a few years ago for a new swingarm . Old one will be up for grabs mid Feb 2015 .

New clip ons arrived . Have removed the aluminium tubes and got a pair of carbon tubes . The clamp parts that go round the forks off to the welders tomorrow to have a small threaded tube put on to hold the brake and clutch fluid pots .
