Cosmo's out of business as far as I know. about the 'mates pitching in and helping out', did a lot on that bike, this photo was taken minutes before it was running properly and he had to fix it himself

Did some work toward the Teapot. The GSXR is now completely in bits. In the end it was WAY worse then it looked. Things were overtight/loose/not there, all in the wrong places. What's left is the front wheel in the forks. I'm used to bolt being tight because I work on large vehicles, but this one is just stupid. It's good I got new sanctions coming with lowers, because these will be f-ed. This is the chain that came of it. Supposedly fitted last summer... Engine out. Bastard job on your own And a little clean up of the frame. Not going to use it, but I may as well do it to help it sell. Engine now on the bench. I like to clean everything thoroughly before fitting it onto a bike, makes your life a whole lot easier. Dropped the sump to see if all was well and it looks like a pass. Some noise from the outputshaft-bearing though, but I'm probably going to stick it. Need to pull the clutch as per YoshiJohnny's advice which I hope to do tomorrow, but I don't want/need this to turn into a major enginebuild.

What are you going to do with the astralites? I love how they look on your slabby 750, seems you are not going to use them? Storing them for something better?

Astras will find their way into the slabby in due time. At the time of building the bike, I didn't have the time to solve issues with the brakelines and rear sprocket, so I chose to use stock B12 wheels for the time being.

All leftover bits of the M are gone and now I have the room to go ahead with the build. Cleaned up the workshop a little bit so I have more room to move about. After that, I pulled the valvecover off the motor to see how things looked inside. Cams have minor pitting and you could get away with running it as is, at least for a while. However, I think I have some proper ones stuffed away somewhere, I might as well stick them in and be done with it. Als had a test-fitting of the GSXR swingarm in the Teapot-frame; that's even less straightforword than I thought. Lots of headscratching to do in the coming week.

After the debacle with yet more bits coming of the GSXR ( more here), I went ahead with figuring out how the swingarm will sit in the frame. Frame is a bit wider than the GSXR at the pivot, so need to make up some spacers for that. Also, spindle is 16mm, so I'll sleeve it down and use the existing 20mm bearings. Might modify the frame to take a 20mm spindle at some point, but for now, it'll do. The subframe on the teapot is a bit more narrow than the swingarm, so that is going to be a bit of a headache to get right, as I want to use stock rearsets and fairingpanels. In the end, it needs to look like the stock bike. Movement is limited quite a bit as it is now, and the rear mastercilinder and the pivot for the brakelever run inside the frame, where the swingarm wants to be. Need to talk to some clever welderpeeps to see which way is easiest/best.
