Why don't you just clear coat it - the workmanship on that is a shame to cover up!

...or polish the frame first and give it a nickel plating... as it should be anyway.

Thanks for your input fellas ! I'll probably stay with the red scheme this time, perhaps with a few stripes, any suggestions ??
Just choosing a red color is a daunting job, there's at least 45 shades of red in the color charts I have at home...

Sorry lads, maybe next time. The frame has been sprayed with epoxy. [/url] And, also the primer... I'm still fumbling with the bloody color charts...

Brazing like that is art. Like the plastic coffee cups blanking off the head stock:)

Was the frame painted or plastic coated B4 the blasting?
I ask because mine is plastic coated that is now discoloured and chipped ,but the few blasters I've talked to don't have experience of brazed frames

The blaster was recommended to me by the painter. All I know about his work is that he used fine grain sand to get the proper level of abrasion.
I'd be more wary if the frame was powder coated, the harder surface would require more abrasion and therefore a higher risk of damage to the frame or joints.
Why don't you have the paint chemically removed for peace of mind ?
