After getting the information i was needing on the fitting of stick coils, i have ordered some GSXR600 05 coils from the US, i already have a loom that i made for the other sticks i had, so it shouldnt take too long to sort out when they get here. will make things a lot easier not having to find a home for the OEM bandit 12 coils that i was going to fit under the tank. i can now get on with fitting the harness without them.

started with the job i like the least, the wireing electrics are not my thing, but it has to be done. fitted the starter relay and cables to the side of the battery box, stretched the harness over the bike and began to identify which connecter goes to what. connected the alternator and starter cables/wires. had enough with wires for one night and got on with fitting the clutch hose instead. that done it was on with connecting up and fitting the rear caliper hose and pressure switch. after fitting the rear end together again and making sure it was in line, I did the "two plank" check with the rear wheel, all was good and it aligned with the front wheel spot on. will do some more work on the electrics/harness tonight Pics to follow

did some more with the harness tonight, got it laid out over the bike, connected some of the bits that i could identify like switch gears, brake switches, earth strap and the likes. dont seem to be a big problem, but i am going to have to shorten the front a bit, seems the loom came off of a bandit with a nose faring and there is a bit of extra wire that could do with removing from around the battery box area. just one of them jobs that takes time to do properly.

iv had such a ballache trying to sort out a good condition second hand loom for my gsxr that Iv decided to just make a new loom from scratch...wiring is horrible at times and simple sometimes just gotta take your time with it and do it properly and you shouldn't have to touch it again for a while!

played around with the harness again, have got about a foot and a half of the loom that needs removing from the middle bit, got more to come out around the under seat area, and some shortening of the smaller spurs is going to be required to neaten it all up. looks like i know what i am doing this week end then!

got to work on shortening the loom, removed the outer protection, zip tied it near as damit to where it will sit (it will be in the middle under the spine) now ready for me to start cutting and splicing. have just about got enough shrink tube to do the main section tonight, but have been on E-bay and purchased a few Meters of various sizes so i can get on with the other bits as soon as it arrives. i am going to cover the wires once spliced with the helical plastic cover that i used on my other builds.

Thought that would get your attention Steve, I'll get some pictures for you over the weekend, Pm me your email, would have preferred to sell the side panels, tail and tank in one hit.
