OK, so had some work done earlier this week. The lower suspension knuckle has been filled with Ali, but now needs to have a eye shock needle roller bearing fitted with Stainless pin. Looks good so far, but only half way there..

Earlier this month I had a triple lower converted to take the slabby stem. Today I attempted to fit it with new bearings etc. All went well, or so I thought. And then I found this in doing a fork leg check and install to ensure we have all the right clearances. Yep, you guessed correct - the fucking triple is twisted !! - I suspect it has been done when they installed the slabby stem under pressure and no one has said a fucking thing.. So, today came to a screeching halt as far as progress goes. Will have to do this all over again. More wasted time is not what I need right now. Someone is going to die come Monday !!

Not good about the yoke . I remember getting a K8 thou yoke that was like that off gay bay, maybe there a bit on the weak side ?

Its all good. Went to engineering shop. Gave them the issues and a new yoke. Should pick the lot up at the end of the week, all things being equal

Got the Suspension knuckle back from engineering. Had a Spherical plain bearing fitted for safety and long term use, all good and back into the bike. The front end goes back on this week. Bought some clutch springs to go along with the Ballistic clutch and Barnett steel plates, all coming together nicely. Am on the hunt for a lock out windowed clutch cover, they appear to be few and far between I see. Will keep looking, although there are some places around that will make you one too. Guess I will wait for ebay to show me something when the time is right. Meanwhile, onward and upward

The next move will be to resolve the front end. Still wanting to use the analogue speedo off the front wheel. Will have to use some brain cells to figure it out considering the axle spindles differences between the 1988 and 2009 models not to mention the lack of space between the wheel and forks. May have to upgrade to a Bandit front wheel and rotors and consider the offsets, or Bandit Primary Sprocket cover with a digital speedo sensor yet Not floating my boat but we will see how it pans out I guess. Will keep you guys posted in due course.
