I built this a couple of years ago, but will share it with you again as it was on the old OSS. It started life and a poor running shell suit.

I bought it from a shop in London, it came with a box of bits including the original fairing and clocks which were in pretty poor nick. As a quick fix, I borrowed some carbs from my mate KwakerZ1, it now ran ok (with original points), so I took it to a dyno. It scored 69bhp at the back wheel (and none at the front).

I set to work stripping and rebuilding the clocks, they were in a sorry state. But after a bit of TLC and WD, they started to take shape. A new glass was cut and fitted and the whole lot cleaned and re assembled.

The paint work was sent away to my mate Mick at Kaliber customs (07952 580759). It take take a couple of months but was well worth the wait.

With the paint and the clocks sorted, I started looking into making it go a bit quicker. The whole project from the start was about building something with a bit of oomph. Starting with the carbs, I went for some 33mm Mikuni smooth bores, they came all the way from the States, they were cheap until the goverment wanted another 20% for VAT, then another 8% inport duty, not such a bargin at the end of the day. Anyway, got them home and set about cleaning them.

Then all back together again with a bit of paint and polish.

Wasn't til much later I realised I had dropped a big goolie, this is what happends when you don't dry build the whole bike first. Those big Mikuni's fouled the petrol tap, so after alot of searching, I ended up fitting a remote tap of an RF900, believe me, it flows enough to produce good power, read on to find out how much.

I sent some cams away to Joy Engineering. It took for every to get them back, but again, worth the wait, nice pair of stage two's. Also got some slotted cam wheels.
