Just chucked my old ones away smiley-rolleyes008 I thought they were 17mm, but I will stand corrected if I'm wrong, someone will be along soon to confirm or take the piss

I cant remember if its 16 or 17mm either & cant get at my tools to check for ya, hopefully someone will be along soon with the proper answer While we are on the subject of plugs ....... before you remove them you might want to make sure there is not a lot of crap in the recesses & that the water drain holes on the front of the motor are clear, I usually brush them out as well as possible stick the hoover pipe over them or blast them with compressed air to remove any loose crap then bang some WD down the holes & make sure it comes out the front, a bit of stiff wire should remove any blockage if poked in from the front If they don't drain properly the plugs can arc out in rain or after washing

Can't say I'm keen on the deep plug holes on these motors, totally agree about the potential for shit fallin' in... thanks for lettin' me know about the drain holes, didn't even know they were there!. As I said, don't have a socket so not removed the plugs yet.. will follow yer advice before I do.
