Rebuilt the carbs with new needle valves & seats, had to set the floats at 18mm for them to behave but the spec is 17mm +- 1mm
Actually made Racefit noises today !!
Was a bit late for too much noise in the yard & an oil leak from the back of the valve cover gasket stopped play.
Insurance arranged from 01 Aug, hope to get it mot'd next Fri or Sat.
Will give me a few weeks to ride it around before the Manx.....

Awesome !
Made it to the Classic TT
Big thanks to Gary aka Grumpy1260 as was round his house till 10.30pm the eve before I went fitting new friction plates + an extra steel to stop the clutch slipping, at this point we had even removed the lockup & was using stock setup to get something to work. Re fitted lockup on campsite & all good.
Needs the carbs setting up on a dyno & also suspension dialling in.
That said it rides really nice, used it without the GPR steering damper because I wanted to see what it did. Compared to my GSXR1100 it steers quicker, is more stable & feels more neutral, happy with that !
Riding position spot on for me with the Ricky Carmichael High Rethal Fatbars & Harris Rearsets.
Frame didn't rust with the ACF50, I put it on with a dish washing up sponge to give it good coverage & not pool.
So far had no problems with the chain alignment, chain has not clipped the swingarm or the tyre.
Lithium Ultrabatt & Dyna 2000 all good.
After first ride couldn't get my Simpson off as my smile was too big !

Hi
I'd just like to say that you have overcome obstacles that would have defeated most to build beautifully engineered, unique bikes.
