Can't see why not but will have to be careful as the tanks are only about 0.8mm thick steel. If he's confident, go for it. What size hole will you be putting in the tank and I.D of hose your putting on it? Cheers

Cheers for that. The shock has been completely stripped, plated, powder coated, polished, new hose, damper rod, seals and re-gassed. It looks better than new and now fitted. Paint work has gone away. My big problem at the moment is trying to find a rear brake master cylinder with 50mm bolt centers to fit the rearsets. If anyone knows of one please let me know what model it's off or I'm going to have a go at making one. Dave h

That's the one but, I'm from Yorkshire so that makes it hard for me to part with cash. If all else fails I may have to raid the daughters piggy bank.

I would help if I could. I have one in storage but that's 500 miles away from where I am right now... :-(

Did a bit of baking yesterday. Wife's gone away for the weekend so used the cooker to bake the paint onto the brake calipers. Cooked them to perfection. Made an aluminium sidestand for the bandit. Should really have been a bit more constructive but pub was beckoning. There's always tomorrow which is a term I seem to be using more and more.
