been very busy past few days started of with making the engine mounts once that was done it was onto fitting b12 swingarm. while im building i dont really take photos of how i made what fit where and how i just crack on and then take photos once the jobs finished. so few photos of what i done strarted the mounts to find out shop sold me 5mm not 6mm but i had already drilled and strated making them so engine mounts are 5mm next is swingarm 5" extension 6" gsxr wheel 190 tyre 52t rear sprocket good few mm chain clearance without channeling the frame out swingarm sticks out nice but still got to shorten subframe by 4" so you can imagine how long its going to look how it looks with tank and seat in place front end is 98srad 600 but that just a scrap front end threw it in to get bike up and movable and get rough idea of how it looks

spent another day working on this, today i finished mounts and spacers of properly shorted subframe and removed most of the unnecessary brackets. once i require all my tubing and plates ill crack on with the mounts for shock/linkages from this to this placed seat and tail piece on in place to get idea how it looks over hangs a fair bit but thats the look i was aiming for so for now im very pleased with it

Looking good mucker did you get the seat already shortened or is it still needing to be done? Surprised by your chain run , mine runs a 9 mm offset sprocket with 6 mm spacer behind it and a gs 1000 cush drive . . . . Tight as a nuns chuff with a 180 rear tire . More pics when you do the mono shock please

If this frame is 226mm between the internal frame swingarm bushes then I'm surprised that you have fitted a 190 on a 6" rim & have that clearance because the bikes I've worked on you can't get much over a 180mm tyre using a 530 chain. Assuming that your wheel is central & that it is aligned straight ahead using the chain adjusters you might want to check this, run a piece of box section or tube that you know to be straight along both tyre edges & down the chain run. This will show if the chain run is actually straight and not just joining the front & rear sprockets. It's a quick easy check to do. If you wheel is central etc & you do have a straight chain run great but likewise if you do have an error somewhere it will stop other people reading this thinking they can get a 190 on a 6" with a 530 chain to drop straight in. This site is about sharing information so please don't take this is a dig at you, just getting you to confirm what you are telling us. On my 711 this is a 6" rim with a 190 Michelin Power Pure (that actually measures 195mm) using a 520 chain, showing with a piece of tube against the tyre edges that the chain run is in fact straight.

done what you said to check alignment. i can see its the same all the way from rear to front but its abit dark so photos bit crap take a look yourself and let me know what you think and the way i done it was pivot point measures 226mm my swingarm with custom tophats measure 237mm. so i took out the lower mount tube with centrestand mounts on and jacked frame out by 5.5mm either side, yeh some people will give me stick over it and a lecture but thats how i did it so because of that im replacing the lower tube with a 5mm/35mm wide roundbar as the original was 3mm/29mm wide and ill be adding a extra brace just behind the rear of sump so doing that ive got rougly give or take 10mm clearance on frame for chain

wheel is central of swingarm, swingarm is central of frame, engine is central of frame chain run to me is inline yeh the chain hooks over the swingarm but ill be putting a 16/17 tooth front sprocket on.
